Just want to let everyone know that the picture on this article is of Kelvin (Bruce's brother) in Bruce's hospital room. Bruce saw Emilie this past weekend, which was great for Bruce's spirits getting into this week's treatments. The hardest part of this journey, is how much we miss each other and how scared and nervous we are entering this stage. I strongly beleive that Bruce is in great shape entering this stage of the treatment and know we will win this challenge.
ReplyDeleteTake care and we'll see you all on Tuesday 6:00PM at Wild Bills. I'll be looking forward to all those hugs! Cheers M.F.
Dear Bruce,M.F.and Kelvin-

ReplyDeletewell I (we)finally won the game Assasin at work. It's the traditional year end fun for patrol where you slowly assasinate each other with snowballs and there's a few rules that make it high speed fun....So this year it was teams of 2, and Tranter and I were partners. Ruby and Kyle were our hits..tough to take out the office boys hee hee. Oh I forgot to mention that there's a pot of cash for the winners and we decided that it's Bruce's money and I was determined to not let you down...so anyways I threw the merge sign at g7 corner down on the snow, climbed into the trees above, his my skiis, made a "barb shield"with branches in the snow.then I had my pre made snowballs and waited. and waited.over half an hour actually.Ruby finally showed, constantly loking over his shoulder for the assasin .finally he was right there, and I picked up the best snowball , and , shit! I missed...grabbed a few more which he deflected off the stupid merge sign...damn. well I never did get Ruby, but we did win the game. I guess I'm still a cougar in training and have to practise my hunting some more....ha ha!
Hope you got a laugh out of this, MF thought you might like this on your blog.
Can't wait to see Emily and Jonah flirting at soccer tonight....
xoxoBarb

ReplyDeleteHad the Lessor Ladies stay with us on Sat. night. My girls had a blast with Emile, she is a real life force. My girls dig her.It was the first time I got to spend time with Emile and she is one cool kid.Eva has this huge stuffed Lab,and Emile dragged the dog all over the house. At one point she was pretending to do a rescue with her search and rescue dog. As I told M.F. before she is always welcome to hang with us the door is always
open to your family.
Tom and I think of you everyday. We want to stop by the hospital, but at least one of the girls have had colds so we just want to err on the side of caution.
Wishing you the most postive vibes!
Take care
Big Hugs
Love Crista, Tom, Eva and Maggie
hi Bruce, sending you all my energy. I am also thinking about my dad having a serious heart surgery this Friday. I will be going to the party but not sure if I want to picture you stripping!!! Joking of course, I am sure you have got great moves!
ReplyDeleteI will also be running for the cure, we have put a team together and it is called "Love you man" :) I have raised over 100$ already in 2 days.
Love from Golden,

Yo Brucie, 25 years ago you took up to Lake Louise with Mark Landymore and introduced me to its beautiful back bowls. At that time i was very green and extrememly nervous skiing them kind of steeps. Fortunately we had a skin filled with Black Russian and a small baggy of wacky tobaccy. Once you had me sedated you gave me some very clear advice. You said "14" relax and finish your f@#cking turns or you will end up with a face full of Rocky Mountain. I never forgot those words including your kindness, generosity and most important your great smile. "14 " s got your back Bruce and your with me always .
ReplyDeleteAll the best this week Bruce - sending you and your family good vibes.

Just to let you know i ended up kissing the side of the mountain on several occasions but was feeling no pain. This was one the best days of my life thx to Mark and Bruce. Love ya lots..... your bud "14"
ReplyDeletehey bruce
ReplyDeleteyou sure have a lot of buddies, buddy.
i hope you getting through this tough week- we were glad to hear you were feeling good going into it. i wish you had been there doing stripper moves, as creepy as that is. just keep choreographing those moves while you rest, you can bust them out at your 'coming out' party, freak.
