The last couple of weeks have been fairly stable. Bruce is getting hydrated, gets minerals he's missing and blood transfusions on a regular basis. They are making sure they are keeping him strong.
I did have a conversation with the heamatologist in charge, and he explained that by removing this anti rejection drug, and boosting Bruce's immune system, Bruce will hopefully win the race against the leukemia. It is then only up to Bruce. Keep your fingers crossed.
Bruce had another bone marrow biopsy today and the docs were very happy of the sample they obtained. In a week, with these results we should know where we stand.
I have decided to take a leave of abscense from work and spend this time with Bruce and Emilie. The three of us together should bring the spirits up and get Bruce some good intertainment 24-7. My hopes are, that we get on the right track to get Bruce back home in Golden as soon as possible.
Keep in touch. and keep visiting, calling , emailing 403-944-4474.

That is really great news M.F. Hey Bruce, you are a one of a kind true f!@#ing warrior and an inspiration everyone involved. When my Parkinson s Disease tries to get the upper hand on my health all i need to do is think of your courageous battle and your never quit attitude. I think of your great smile which is still the same as it was 25 years ago at the B.S.H. club house. Finally i think to myself " 14 some day you will have to pay a visit to that never quit stubborn bastard Bruce Lessor just to say "thanks man and i love ya".....Cheer....14
ReplyDeleteHey Brucie - just checking in to see how you are doing - keep smiling. I know Knickerbocker is keeping up to date on your Blog - I have been trying to find Murdoch to see if he has seen this as well but as Bobo can attest to he is drifting somewhere in Van and no one can pin him down. Keep up the good fight.rrriiiigghhttt
